From romantic proposal to celebratory reception at Tryon Park’s rooftop venue

A kiss, a vow, and a view

On June 3rd, 2023, Elizabeth (Liz) Thompson and Mason Turner celebrated their love in a beautiful ceremony at the Kimpton Tryon Park Hotel in Charlotte, North Carolina. Their journey began at the University of South Carolina, where they first met in a Computer Networking class. Their choice of venue, Kimpton Tryon Park Hotel, was not just about aesthetics; it was deeply rooted in their love story, with the Merchant and Trade Igloo being the site of Mason's proposal.

The ceremony itself was a stunning affair in the Medley Ballroom, adorned with pink roses and flickering candles that set a romantic tone. The couple exchanged vows filled with emotion, leading to an impromptu kiss that perfectly encapsulated their love. Guests enjoyed dinner in the Rhapsody ballroom, elevated with table settings of gorgeous roses and blue napkins. The evening continued with a party on Merchant & Trade’s rooftop terrace. The evening was whirlwind of joy, laughter, and dancing, culminating in a unique ceremony exit where guests waved rally towels in a nod to their alma mater. Liz and Mason’s wedding was not just a celebration of their love but a true reflection of their vibrant personalities and shared history.
